heh, i think it's a universal truth that people involved in healthcare professions have to have a certain level of pervertedness to survive. like, c'mon, you'll see endless penises and vaginas and asses throughout the career and you make money out of all these body inlets. and hence, by law of survival, medical students become cynical and the ultimate cynic award has to be rewarded to surgeon. just listen to them in the operating theatre will make you wanna puke blood and punch them in the face. but oh well, medical students are at the lowest of the hiearachy and hence have to endure all these wonderful things that come along our way.

and we all know that medical students have to memorize a lot of things. like A LOT. so to make things easier for our perverty brains, we come out with all these innovative mnemonics. some are passed down from seniors, some are from the good ol' professors, some are improvised by myself. so here goes:

1. Cranial nerves (CN-nerves in the brain, there are 12 altogether). see how you can memorize it before you get the help of the most wonderful mnemonics of all times.
CN I - Olfactory
CN II - Optic
CN III - Oculomotor
CN IV - Trochlear
CN V - Trigeminal
CN VI - Abducens
CN VII - Facial
CN VIII - Vestibulocochlear
CN IX - Glossopharyngeal
CN X - Vagus
CN XI - Accessory
CN XII - Hypoglossal

To be honest, i can never commit my memory to memorize all these without using the mnemonics. Take note of the first letter of every nerve, and we have O,O,O,T,T,A,F,V,G,V,A,H. then we make a sentence out of it. make sure the sentence is catchy enough such that you'll NEVER EVER FORGET IT. So, the very very catchy mnemonics that every medical student knows is this:
Oh
Oh
Oh
To
Touch
And
Feel
Virgin
Girl's
Vagina,
Ahhhhhh
Heaven!!!!!!

2. Another example is the bones of the hands, we have eight bones on our palm. The 8 bones are:
Scaphoid
Lunate
Triquetrium
Pisiform
Trapezium
Trapezoid
Capitate
Hamate

Again, using the same method, taking the first letter of the carpal bones, we'll have S,L,T,P,T,T,C,H. What mnemonics can you come out with? This very innovative person came out with this:

Enough of these, i have a lot more. but the conclusion is, the more you know, the more perverted you'll become. =P
